Search for parcels
The Property Viewer application allows you to search and find parcels using three
different types of search tasks.
Search By Address
- If not already expanded, the Search By Address task can be displayed in the Console by clicking the down-arrow to expand
it.
- Most tasks open in moveable/dockable windows. See
Getting Started for details on using moveable windows.
- Enter address information to search by. The street name text box will make
suggestions based on a list of valid street names. For best results use the
suggestions that are made.
- If a property matching the address is found then the parcel (or parcels in the case
of an owner search) will be selected on the map with a light blue color. After a
few moments, an entry for the parcel(s) should appear in the
Tabular Results section of the Console.
Search By Owner
- Same as above but search by owner name.
- Enter as many or few characters as you like in the First Name box. Enter the entire
last name in the Last/Full Name box.
- You can also search for organiztions (e.g. 'City of New Orleans) by entiring the
full name in the Last/Full Name box
Search By Taxbill
- Same as above but search by Taxbill number.
